CHLORIDE FOR DUST CONTROL TO BEGIN JUNE 24, 2013
Chloride for dust control will be applied to gravel/limestone
roads within Atlas Township starting June 24, 2013 weather
permitting. Please contact Genesee County Road Commission
for more information @ 810-767-4920.
BURN PERMITS are available through December 31, 2013 and
BONFIRE PERMITS are available for 90-day periods. Please
use the link on left side of this page labeled:

for rules/regulations and to apply.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR IRISH ROAD
SCHEDULED TO BEGIN THE WEEK OF JUNE 10, 2013,
HAS BEEN DELAYED UNTIL A PUBLIC SERVICE UTILITY
LINE CAN BE RELOCATED.
This area of road is located between Vantine and Baldwin
Road, near the guardrail. Work hours will be between
7AM to 5PM for a period of approximately two weeks.
This portion of Irish Road will be closed to traffic during
the stated hours each work day.
PRESCRIPTION DRUG DROP-OFF/COLLECTION
June 22, 2013 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM the Genesee
County Sheriff's Department will hold a drug drop off
collection effort at the Atlas Township Hall/Office.

TRASH & RECYCLING INFORMATION
Wednesday is the regularly scheduled pick up day for
trash and recyclable items in Atlas Township by Emterra.
Please have your trash and recycling out by 7:00AM for
pickup. Pick up 4th of July week will NOT be affected.

Compost/Yard Waste pickup is by PAID subscription only.
Compost/yard waste is picked up weekly, with service from
April 5th through November 27th. The cost of this service is
an additional $120.00 paid in advance to Emterra. Please
contact Emterra directly toll free at 1-877-609-6753 for
more information.
SUMMER 2013 PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS
Payments for SUMMER 2013 property taxes
are DUE SEPTEMBER 16, 2013, BY 5:00PM.
Tax payments placed in drop box after 5:00PM
will be received and posted the following
business day.
PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES
Payments for personal property taxes are payable to
and accepted by the Atlas Township Treasurer.
Please contact the Atlas Township Treasurer's Office

Drop Box available 24/7 in rear parking lot area. Items
placed in drop box after 5:00PM will be received the
next regular business day.
2013 Dog Licenses are available through October 24, 2013
from the Atlas Township Treasurer's Office.
